Our client, a leading marketing and PR agency in the Higher Education and Non-Profit space, is looking for a talented VP of Growth. Note, this role is a remote opportunity, with travel requirements.This VP level professional will lead growth and business development efforts for the full-service agency. This role will focus on all aspects of growth for the group from new lead generation to marketing strategy to organic development of existing relationships. This role will specifically focus on the Higher Education and Non-profit sectors. They seek an outgoing, proactive and collaborative professional who sees competitive advantages and can communicate them effectively on paper and in presentations to drive business growth and create new partnerships.You need to have a strong professional network, have led agency teams, worked directly with prospects and clients, and understand how to position full-service advertising agencies to earn the trust and confidence of business leaders.What you will do:
- Provide senior-level leadership and hands-on doing throughout the prospect nurturing, proposal writing, and presentation development stages.
- Attend industry events, network and make new contacts on behalf of the agency.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with the agency’s goals and objectives.
- Participate in marketing strategy and develop new initiatives to help elevate the agency profile.
- Work with the account management team to execute growth initiatives within the existing client portfolio.
- Proactively identify and engage potential clients, nurturing leads, and closing new business deals.
- Effectively communicate the agency’s suite of integrated offerings and value proposition to prospective clients, showcasing how the services can meet their business objectives and deliver exceptional results.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities, potential clients, and industry shifts.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, digital, and account management, to develop customized solutions and proposals that address client needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or a related role within the integrated marketing or advertising industry.
- Strong network of industry contacts and a demonstrated ability to forge strategic partnerships.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
Experience needed and skills we value:
- 10+ years of experience in an advertising agency
- Exceptional communications skills – verbal and written – that establish you as a strong leader with sound judgement and a clear point of view.
- Proficient in CRM systems and sales tools
- Resourceful problem-solver, able to deliver under any circumstances.
- Constructive collaborator with experience leading internal creative, digital, media and strategic communications teams, as well as external vendors and freelance consultants
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must be a US Citizen and able to pass a Public Trust Security Clearance
- Ability to travel as required.
