Job Title: Senior Principal, Capture ManagementJob Code: 15278Job Location: Arlington, VAJob Schedule: 9/80Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Principal, Capture Management to lead our efforts in driving growth and expanding market opportunities for the Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment. The position is responsible for identifying, developing, and standardizing the capture processes across. They play a pivotal role in the growth and expansion of the company by leading capture efforts from opportunity identification through proposal submission and contract award.Essential Functions: * Capture Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive capture plans and strategies tailored to each opportunity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, engineering, finance, and program management, to formulate winning approaches.
- Customer Engagement: Understand customer requirements, decision-making processes, and budget considerations.
- Competitive Analysis: Analyze the competitive landscape and position the company to win. Identify and assess potential partners or subcontractors to strengthen the capture effort.
- Proposal Development: Lead the proposal development process, ensuring alignment with capture strategies and customer requirements. Coordinate with subject matter experts to craft compelling and compliant proposal content.
- Risk Management: Identify risks associated with capture efforts and develop mitigation strategies. Make informed recommendations to senior management regarding bid/no-bid decisions.
- Resource Allocation: Determine resource needs for capture efforts and secure necessary support. Manage capture budgets and timelines to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Win Strategy Execution: Drive the execution of win strategies throughout the capture process. Ensure that all capture activities are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field and a minimum of 15 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer requirements, and competitive landscapes within the missile propulsion and energetics market.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proven track record of success in business development and/or strategy leadership roles within the Aerospace and Defense industry, with a focus on propulsion and/or energetics.
- Extensive contact network with government customers/stakeholders and missile prime contractors.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
