Associate Attorney, Land Use & Zoning Practice GroupLocation: Woodbridge,VAAbout the Firm: We are a reputable law firm specializing in land use and zoning, offering comprehensive legal services to our diverse client base. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results through innovative legal strategies and a deep understanding of the commercial real estate landscape.Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Land Use & Zoning Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of legal experience, preferably with a background in commercial real estate or a related field. This role requires a high level of analytical, research, and communication skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on land use and zoning matters.
- Draft and edit legal documents, including briefs, contracts, and agreements.
- Provide strategic advice and representation in zoning and land use cases.
- Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and present cases before local zoning boards and other administrative bodies.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- At least 3 years of legal experience, preferably in land use, zoning, or commercial real estate.
- Licensed to practice law in Virginia is highly preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and research skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- Proven critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
