Project Development Director, Advanced Manufacturing TechnologiesConcurrent Technologies CorporationMinimum Clearance Required: NoneClearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: SecretEmployee Background Check RequiredKey Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and management of engineering projects, focusing on the Department of Defense Manufacturing Technology Program ecosystem. This includes originating new projects, screening and evaluating joint development project opportunities, conducting due business diligence, negotiating project development and teaming agreements, obtaining corporate approvals, and developing projects with our partners.
- Candidate is responsible for responsible for identifying and obtaining new business opportunities within Company’s assigned business line(s). The successful candidate will be accountable for developing a high-quality prospect funnel, growing CTC’s brand, advancing CTC’s relationships within the market, proactive deal structures, win plans, developing proposals for our customers which capture CTC’s unique value, support proposal preparation, drives internal assembly and communication of deals to secure new business.
- Candidate should have a strong understanding of the competitive landscape, and will establish long term relationships with customers, strategic partners, and other industry contacts.
- Candidate should partner with business line managers to ensure that projects sold meet company guidelines by screening prospects, developing a pursuit & win strategy, negotiating contracts, identifying, and analyzing risks and profit potential, and communicating customer needs and expectations to the leadership team.
- Candidate should have significant experience managing complex government initiatives and possess the knowledge necessary to collaborate with technology experts and lead the project team programmatically and technically.
- Candidate must have project management experience and be proficient at developing project scopes, work breakdown structures, technical solutions, task execution plans, statements of work, resource allocation plans, baseline budgets and schedules.
- Candidate will be required to work closely with stakeholders, clients, and project teams, interact with vendors, subcontractors, and ensure all project requirements are being monitored and met in accordance with cost and schedule baselines and technology transitions are properly planned and executed.
- Candidate may support a broad base of applied research and development projects with applications ranging from ground vehicles, aircraft, watercraft, munitions, application of advanced materials, custom product and manufacturing process development, equipment development, testing services, systems integration, and other unique one-off solutions.
Basic Qualifications:
- Candidate must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in Project Management of government projects.
- Works well in a team environment.
- Strong business background and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to travel up to 50% or more to facilitate offsite work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred candidate will have 10 years experience in ManTech programs.
- The position requires a high degree of technical and program management competence regarding the broad application of engineering principles to the development of new capabilities and/or solutions to customers’ challenging problems, while working with an experienced engineering team.
- Project Management Certification is desired, but not required with significant experience.
