Richmond, VA- Hybrid
12 Monthscandidates Should be local Richmond, VA will hybrid schedule.Looking for knowledge of CWA, 401/404 regulations and permitting. Needs to be on the resume.
Significant experience with Virginia Environmental regulatory programs.
Quick description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing):
At least 5-7 years relevant experience. Logic and reasoning skills, to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternatives, conclusions, or approaches. Quick description of the role or project story (What this role will be doing):
Independently review projects under consideration for development or acquisition by *** Energy for compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations and effectively communicate action items and compliance gaps to development team and management.
Independently determine environmental permit applicability for assigned projects with specific knowledge of Section 404/401, Section 7, Section 106, Erosion and Sediment Control, and Stormwater Management Programs;
Prepare applications and secure environmental permits or clearances required for construction;
Communication of environmental compliance requirements to development, project, field teams;
Technical assistance to sites/projects for environmental compliance;
Interpretation of environmental permits and regulations to ensure that compliance dates and requirements are met;
Independent problem analysis and development of compliance strategies;
Preparing and conducting training;
Writing and editing reports related to environmental programs;
Communication and coordination with regulatory agency representatives, negotiate permit conditions, represent *** Energy during regulatory inspections, and other regulatory meetings;
Oversight, tracking, and assignment of compliance and permitting tasks for multiple facilities/projects
Oversight and technical direction of contractors and consultants including preparation of scopes of work, purchase requisitions, permit applications, permit support materials, and invoice approval;
Represents company before regulatory agencies, industry groups, and the public on environmental issues.
What are the top (at least 3 if possible) “must have” skill sets (technical/functional) which are required?
1. Knowledge of ESC and SWM regulations and permitting.
2. Knowledge of CWA, 401/404 regulations and permitting.
3. Significant experience with Virginia Environmental regulatory programs.
What education and certifications/licensures are required? High school required
Degree in Environmental Science or related preferred.
